What is an isotherm truck?

An isotherm truck is a type of vehicle specifically designed for transporting goods that require temperature control. These trucks are equipped with insulated walls and often include refrigeration units to maintain a consistent internal temperature, ensuring that perishable items, such as food and pharmaceuticals, remain fresh during transit. The insulation properties of an isotherm truck help in minimizing the exchange of heat between the interior of the truck and the external environment, making them ideal for long-distance transportation where maintaining product integrity is crucial.

What is the difference between APU and EPU trucks?

APU (Auxiliary Power Unit) and EPU (Electric Power Unit) trucks refer to systems that provide power to the truck's cabin amenities without needing to idle the main engine. An APU generally uses a small diesel engine to generate power, which can run heating, cooling, and electrical devices, offering fuel savings and reducing emissions when the truck is stationary. On the other hand, an EPU relies on battery power to perform similar functions, emphasizing fuel efficiency and lower emissions. EPUs are quieter and more environmentally friendly, as they do not emit exhaust gases while in operation. However, they may require more frequent recharging or power management to ensure adequate performance over extended periods.
